After he discovered a love for acting when he was a youngster, Geoffrey Owens made it his mission to become a famous actor. He performed in school productions, and he attended audition after audition. His dream came true in 1985 when he was offered the chance to star on the hugely popular sitcom, The Cosby Show. For this role, he took on the character of Elvin Tibideaux for the final five seasons of the show. Because of this, he became a recognizable face and figure within the world of popular culture.
