Growing up in the foster care system, Tiffany Haddish’s life wasn’t particularly easy. She struggled with a difficult upbringing and caring for her younger siblings and disabled mother as she moved from home to home, dealing with various forms of abuse. Through it all, though, she maintained her sunny sense of humor. Her material finds the light through the darkness and she isn’t afraid to reveal intimate details about her life. She began doing stand-up in 1997 as a coping mechanism, and hasn’t slowed down since.
