Sykes’s comedy spans from the politics of today to her life with her wife and two kids. She isn’t afraid to get vulnerable on stage and be brutally honest. She has appeared in a number of hit films including the Jennifer Lopez-starring romantic comedy Monster-in-Law, the animated Ice Age, and the buddy comedy Bad Moms. Last year she was nominated for an Emmy for her recurring role as the bossy Daphne Lido on the family sitcom Black-ish and will next appear in the drag comedy film Hurricane Bianca: From Russia with Hate.
