This sounds like the plot of a horror movie. Professor Lin at the University of Maryland offered an opportunity to earn extra points.
Not only did she offer a chance for extra credit, she turned the opportunity into a test of the human condition. Does the respondent be the greedy and selfish one hoping to be the 10% that succeeds in earning those six extra points, or does the respondent choose the passive and safe route by selecting two points? It’s quite the experiment, Professor Lin!
