The beauty of billboards is that pretty much anyone can advertise whatever they want, as long as they pay. So you can have a church buy a billboard right above a billboard that is advertising the beefy, cheesy, glory of a McDonald’s burger, and nobody even thinks twice about it.
However, the juxtaposition of these billboards is so wonderful we couldn’t have made it up if we had wanted to. We feel that it perfectly sums up life in the USA.
