The next parcel of wisdom Doyle had for Pacia and Jon was that a lasting joy could be found through tolerance. In part, this meant Pacia and Jon’s tolerance for each other, even in moments where it may be unappealing to exercise such a virtue.
However, if they could understand and accept each facet of their partner’s personality, they would be so much the better for it. In addition, keeping kindness and openness in their heart for others would only increase their joy, as they learned to love those around them unconditionally, warts and all.
