Who said you can’t go to work and wear your best outfit? No one told this secretary as she made sure she had the best outfit in the room on any given day. Style was just as important in the 1970s as it is today, although we don’t imagine too many people would wear an outfit like this to work any longer.
Instead, most people in a professional situation dress a bit more conservatively. Dressing conservatively wasn’t so big in the 1970s though, and work outfits like this were commonplace.
