Even though this was one big set up to get Sammy to go to the prom, she was still leaving with something from the police department. While most people would have worried they were leaving with a ticket from the cops, Sammy was able to leave with a gift.
She now had her prom date so her temporary license suspension was over and Sammy could go back to her business without worrying. That prom dinner would taste all the sweeter because it didn’t cost Sammy and her boyfriend anything.
