Whenever she pulled into the parking lot, Sammy had a hunch she had done something wrong, and that was confirmed when the officer followed her. He wasn’t here to call into any store, the officer parked his patrol vehicle behind Sammy’s car and started to get out.
Sammy’s mind might have started racing over all the possible reasons why this officer was making his way to her window. She knew her license was fine, but she wondered whether she didn’t follow the road layout because it was unfamiliar to her.
