Sammy was talking on the phone as the officer approached, but quickly ended her conversation as her window rolled down. She gave the officer her undivided attention as he began what seemed to be a routine stop.
He asked her why she thought he had come to speak to her and then explained that she had driven over the median to enter the parking lot. Sammy seemed confused, but did admit she lived on the other side of town, and this part wasn’t all that familiar to her.
