She was so affected by the cut she received that she burst into tears looking at it. The woman was so mortified by the new style that she couldn’t even bring herself to go to the store. She didn’t want to leave the house and have people see what she’d been subjected to.
The experience apparently brought back painful memories of school where she’d regularly been the target of bullies. All the embarrassment she’d felt then came flooding back as she looked in the mirror at her haircut.
