This doctor is initially hired as a therapist for Jake to help him cope with his parent’s divorce, but she quickly has Charlie and Alan on her couch wanting a therapy session themselves. Throughout the show, Linda is always kind and sympathetic towards Jake, but she makes plenty of sarcastic remarks towards Alan and Charlie during their meetings. Linda also becomes the couples therapist for Charlie and Chelsea, but Charlie believes Linda is just trying to change him rather than help their relationship.
