Joyce had a pretty straightforward reason as to why her home looked as though it was straight from the ‘50s. It’s because it was! The homeowner explained how the decor was around 70 years old. However, there was one room in the house that had been updated more recently. It turned out that Joyce had the kitchen refurbished in the middle of the 1960s, but that wasn’t all. Joyce was proud to boast that her stove was still in full working order.
It was only as Carla and Gladys continued through the home that they began to notice all the small details. Every room appeared to be filled with pastel colors, while some were entirely dedicated to one color scheme alone. The pink kitchen was complete with a pink phone set on the countertop. Even the nook of the room was decorated in shades of pink! This was about to become a theme.
