Cibrian wasn’t the first man that had ever stolen Rimes’ heart. Before the actor came along, she’d had her head turned by backup dancer, Dean Sheremet. They first met all the way back in 2001 when LeAnn was the host of that year’s Country Music Awards.
Apparently, all it took was one date for the singer to realize that Sheremet was the man for her. They married one year later and enjoyed nearly a decade of romance together before everything fell apart. Their love wasn’t destined for a happy ending.
