When you peruse the supermarket shelves looking for the perfect handwash, your eyes probably find their way to the most expensive product – because an expensive hand wash must have all of the good stuff in, right? Well, not quite.
Scientists have noted that many of these brands feature a bacterial agent called Triclosan. While this agent does help to fight the spread of germs, it’s not been found to be any more effective than your regular hand soap that you can pick up for a fraction of the price.
