Over the course of their heist, the two robbers stole 13 pieces from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. This included Vermeer’s “The Concert,” Flinck’s “Landscape with Obelisk,” and Rembrandt’s “A Lady and Gentleman in Black.”
However, this wasn’t the only Rembrandt painting that they took. The thieves also made their way out of the museum with a self-portrait of the artist, alongside the hugely famous painting, “The Storm on the Sea of Galilee.” As if that wasn’t enough, they also walked off with a French Imperial Eagle finial and a Chinese gu.
