Although most of Tara’s roles over the last decade haven’t been that notable, she has found success in quite a surprising place. Between 2013 and 2018, she played April Wexler in the ‘Sharknado’ series of sci-fi disaster films.
The made-for-television movies didn’t exactly have Hollywood bigwigs quaking in their boots, but they did perform far better than expected. The first film received an approval score of 82% on Rotten Tomatoes, with people praising it for being “so bad it’s good.” Somehow, Reid had stumbled upon a goldmine here.
