After the divorce, and with Eden remarrying, she decided to move to Chicago with her new husband, Charles Fegert. Matthew was aged 12 at this point, however, he didn’t want to move from Los Angeles.
With the threat of her ex-husband suing Eden for custody of their child, and her son wanting to stay put, Eden made the move alone. She would continue to see her son, but for six years it would only be every few weeks that she would be able to.
