Both Eden and Larry Hagman had problems with the show’s finale and the story that had been chosen. The episode saw the genie and astronaut tie the knot, but neither was happy with the decision.
Eden has since said that she thinks the decision was the end of the show, that was canceled after the premiere of the 1969 finale. She added it broke the pull of the show as it created the non-human character to fall into the role of a housewife.
