The success of ‘Party of Five’ spelled exciting things for Hewitt, and not just with her acting. Shortly after joining the show, she was signed to Atlantic Records and began working on her sophomore album. This ended up being rush-released in 1995 to capitalize on her role in the show.
However, that ended up being its downfall because neither the album nor its singles managed to impact the charts. Just because she was on a semi-popular TV show, that didn’t mean people wanted to buy her music.
