Doria’s involvement with the Royal Family before her daughter married into it is very similar to Carole’s. Both mothers were not a part of royalty until their daughters were, but they both seem to have adjusted to the change in lifestyle with ease. Doria had lived in America her whole life so it was not likely she would ever cross paths with a royal until her daughter became Harry’s wife.
While Meghan’s mother might have admired the Royals from a distance, she would get the chance to meet them up-close-and-personal at the wedding. Doria was thrust into the spotlight but has adjusted well to royal life, just like Carole Middleton.
