We’re not saying that Kate hasn’t dealt with adversity since joining the Royal Family. Becoming a Royal at all is grounds for a complete life upheaval, and it was obviously overwhelming for her, too.
But there’s a much bigger difference between Kate’s experience and Meghan’s. For all intents and purposes, Kate was always “familiar” with the Royal life, even when she wasn’t a Royal – because she grew up in a culture that puts it in the center of the spotlight.
