Carole has been spotted alongside Kate many times since her daughter joined the Royal Family, but she doesn’t try to control everything she does. Kate’s mother is thought to prefer taking a backseat and allowing her daughter to make her own choices in life. It seems to be good for their relationship as the two have remained close throughout the years, and Carole certainly has a lot to be proud of her daughter for.
Carole doesn’t appear at every royal event with her daughter as it goes against protocol, but she is there for Kate when she’s needed. Any time Carole is expected to make a public appearance she does, otherwise she remains behind the scenes.
