It’s hard to imagine William and Harry being named anything other than what they are. However, it seems that if it weren’t for Diana, the princes might have been going around with two completely different names.
Apparently, Charles was all for calling them Albert and Arthur because it fit with the royal tradition of naming kids after late relatives. Diana never had a problem with breaking the rules, though, so she refused to call her children by these names. She stood her ground, and soon enough, it paid off.
