Diana was a very affectionate mother, and she expressed her love for William and Harry in all sorts of ways. Usually, though, she did this through hugs. The Princess loved pulling the boys into an embrace and squeezing them tight.
She figured it was the best way to convey how much her sons meant to her, and that it usually spoke volumes more than any words ever could. Diana felt no shame about being a hugger either because she admitted in several interviews that she loved doing it.
