When Leslie and Brendan met on the set of George of The Jungle, Leslie was only 25 and thrilled to be on the set of such a fun movie project. Brendan was a few years older, but they were both still in the beginning of their careers and could easily bond. Leslie immediately liked Brendan’s great sense of humor and charming warm personality, and the feelings seemed to be mutual.
Since Leslie’s Ursula was supposed to fall in love with Brendan’s George and him with her, that was probably a good thing. Playing a couple on camera can easily be awkward unless you have a good professional relationship off camera. As it turned out , it would still get a little awkward for Leslie!
