In a 2017 interview, Lohan explains why she actually decided to move to Dubai. The reason is actually pretty simple. The actress wanted privacy. She loves being able to walk outside without being surrounded by people wanting to take her picture or others asking for an interview.
In Dubai, they have strict paparazzi rules, so Lindsay feels safer there and like she can be herself with no worries. It’s a far way to go for privacy, but when she’s lived her whole life in the spotlight, maybe it makes sense.
