Back in the 1960s, there were a slew of fantasy sitcoms, including The Munsters, I Dream of Jeannie, and The Addams Family. However, Bewitched outlasted them all, running eight seasons and 254 episodes, all in all. Indeed, it was the last of that genre to still be on the air when its final episode was broadcast in 1972. By that point, sitcoms with an emphasis on social realism, like All In the Family, were becoming the new popular trend for television networks.
