While strokes are known to occur in younger people, 52 is a relatively young age for someone to suffer from such an attack. The general age is over 65, and 45 is what doctors considered young to have a stroke. Luke Perry was in between those two ages, so people were surprised to hear that this was why he was hospitalized, and that the stroke was so massive.
It was with great despair on March 4, 2019 that people learned of Perry’s passing. He had not survived the stroke, and died surrounded by the people he loved most. While information is still coming out about everything regarding his death, the family has requested privacy as they mourn this tremendous loss.
