The part where the line gets blurry, however, is the fact that the man’s wife is the woman’s supposed ‘best friend.’ As anyone who has ever sold something they put their hard work and creativity into surely knows, things can get awkward when it comes to having friends as customers.
Are we obliged to give our friends a better deal, discount, or even free gift when it comes to our hard work and savings we put into it just because we know them? What about our friends’ spouses?
