Since the post went viral, the majority of users rushed to take the artist’s side, believing that the man had been taking advantage of her. Many pointed out that the husband complaining about how much Christmas was costing him only to ask her to give up the most valuable things to her – her work, her time, her materials – was downright unfair and even “greedy.”
One commenter compared his unreasonable offer to that of asking to get free car rides since he has a car anyways, or free food since he already has a stocked fridge.
