The guy compared his partner’s rejection to finding a million dollars in a dumpster. He reckoned if someone found a million dollars in the trash there is no way they’d not take it, so why did his girlfriend say no to his proposal?
Who would care if their million dollars came from a dumpster or the lottery? You would still take the cash every single time, and the guy felt as though the life he was offering his girlfriend was like a million dollars. This rejection felt like an insult.
