The guy explained to his fellow Reddit users that he had planned the perfect surprise for his girlfriend. For years she had wanted to see the famous temple of Angkor Wat and thanks to him, her dream was soon to become a reality. After backpacking around Vietnam, they took the trip to Cambodia to see the world-renowned temple, among a bunch of others on her bucket list nearby.
They had spent the majority of their trip trekking through the dense jungle, and after one particularly draining day they ended up at their hotel room. Despite all of the backdrops Cambodia had to offer the guy decided it would be more special if the proposal was in the hotel.
