Luckily for Damien, he made a full recovery. This wasn’t the work of miracles, though. Instead, he had an incredible team at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Florida, where he had all the support he could have possibly needed.
With injuries as complex as Damien’s, he needed a lot of care and attention when he was going through recovery. There was one nurse in particular who helped make his recovery possible, and it didn’t just involve his physical health. She was able to mend something far more precious.
