[post_page_title]The science of paternity testing[/post_page_title]
Tests can be done to determine whether someone is the father of a child or not; they look to see whether the father’s genes are found in another human. The DNA for the test is taken by swabbing the inside of the parent and child’s cheeks using specialist cotton sticks.
The cells found on the inside of the cheek are collected once they stick onto the two different swabs, which can then be compared in a laboratory. The results are determined by whether the genes match.
