Devastatingly on March 11, 2017, Tony, too, passed away at 83 years old. Samuel was left not only mourning the loss of his wife but now grieving for the only man he had ever known as a father.
Tony and Samuel had found a comfort in each other that they had never been able to experience before, so the loss was a huge blow to Samuel. Samuel has his own children around him for support but is forever grateful for the time he was able to spend with Tony.
