Jessica Alba’s experience portraying Sue Storm in the Fantastic Four film series wasn’t that great, and she says it almost led to her quitting acting. In a scene where she was supposed to cry, director Tim Story told her to look more pretty while cried, because her face had looked “too real.”
He reassured her that they could CGI tears on her if need be. The experience certainly affected her, and she questioned her acting instincts after that.
