William and Kate have been primed for the succession to the throne, which is also why they have an active role in various Royal duties and have shared aspects of their family life. However, Harry and Meghan aren’t in line to the throne.
Critics have suggested that if it were not for the popularity of the family, then there would be no need for them to exist, freeing up public money. They’re essentially calling for Meghan and Harry to share more about their lives if they’re splashing out with public funds.
