Two months after her solo outing with the Queen, Meghan seemed determined to draw battle lines with her fashion choices. She and Harry attended a performance of the popular musical Hamilton in London where the Duchess’ outfit attracted a lot of attention.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t for the right reasons. Meghan was seen in a black suit with a skirt that was cut well above the knee. Although showing off her legs isn’t something the Queen would necessarily disapprove of, the short size and lack of pantyhose were definite no-nos.

Not wearing pantyhose wasn’t the only problem with Meghan’s outfit for the musical. The all-black outfit certainly will have displeased people in the Royal circle because of its distinct color.
Generally speaking, black is used solely for occasions when family members are in mourning, with the color rarely ever used outside of those circumstances. For Meghan to contradict that with her own style choices says a lot about her opinion of the Royal dress codes. Her resistance could well come back to bite her in the future.
