Another occasion when Meghan caused a stir with her choice of outfit was at Wimbledon. In July 2018, the Duchess made her first visit to the sporting event as Harry’s wife, and she made sure to leave a lasting impression.
Meghan wore a Ralph Lauren striped shirt with some white pants, a combination that probably didn’t get the Queen’s seal of approval. The monarch isn’t a huge fan of pants and prefers for her female relatives to wear dresses or skirts. Apparently, no-one told Meghan this.

This marked the second time in the space of a week that Meghan had worn pants while out in public. Three days earlier, she was spotted wearing an androgynous suit during an engagement with her husband.
The formal attire was not what people expected to see from the Duchess, although she’d worn something similar in the past. Back in February, she’d rocked near-identical pants, shirt and jacket combination that again had people questioning what she was wearing. The Queen can’t have been too happy about her bringing back this look.
