After her marriage to English filmmaker Guy Ritchie, pop icon Madonna – born and raised in Michigan – moved to the U.K., purchasing a house in London. Shortly thereafter, she began speaking with a conspicuous British accent in interviews. People on both sides of the Atlantic then proceeded to make fun of her until she stopped.
