Obviously, New York and England have an entire ocean between them. This means that the only convenient way to travel from one to the other would be by plane. Of course, now one mustn’t expect that the Duchess of Sussex would just hop on any old flight to go to her baby shower – not with the friends she has. Because this trip was a personal visit – not to mention a very costly one – Kensington Palace reported that it was privately funded.
While we may not know who exactly paid for each part of the shower, we do know that Amal Clooney allegedly arranged for Meghan to return home in a private jet, which cost around $129,000. What a nice gesture. Perhaps the reason Meghan needed a more private transportation option was because fans were following her very closely after they thought they cracked the code and figured out her baby’s gender.
