You might imagine that the Royal Family spends Christmas at Buckingham Palace in London, seeing as that’s their iconic residence. Far from it. The entire family gets together at beautiful Sandringham House in the English countryside instead, away from the capital’s holiday hustle and bustle.
Sandringham has been owned by the family since 1862, and gives them the perfect peaceful, quiet time away from the public – which is pretty rare! Considering the house is surrounded by around 60 acres of gardens, it’s not a bad spot for a vacation.
