This wouldn’t be the first time that Meghan has broken royal protocol at Christmas time. In fact, the Royal arrived ready for the festive celebrations back in 2017. Unfortunately, there was an issue: Meghan and Harry were yet to marry. The official rules state that only married couples may attend the Queen’s Christmas Day.
However, Harry fought long and hard to ensure they could spend the day together. After all, they had announced their engagement just one month before and wanted to spend the holiday period as an official couple. It wasn’t long before the Queen gave in to their request, and a place for Meghan was set at the dinner table.
