Sometime last year the couple spoke about going to the USA and Canada for a long-haul tour. It was even being said that Meghan has arranged the documentary between Oprah and Prince Harry to go ahead in the USA.
This would mean spending a lot of time with her mother Doria and raising Archie partially in the US, and by tying Harry down in the USA, it gives her the perfect excuse to stay in her home country. It also puts some distance between her and the Royal Family.
