We probably should have learned by now that if we’re ordering a drink from a fast-food restaurant, we might not be getting the most hygienic of products. Smoothies follow much the same logic of milkshakes and ice-cream.
Apparently, the appliances used to make them are rarely cleaned, even in a cursory way, between uses. As such, if you’ve ever ordered a smoothie at a fast-food establishment, it might be contaminated with bits from smoothies made earlier in the day.
