When it comes to eggs and fast food chains, our expectations aren’t always high. It’s generally enough for us that they look recognizably like an egg, and don’t contain any eggshells or feathers. That would be a win in most people’s books.
However, it’s a little dispiriting to discover that most establishments can’t even take the mere minutes required to cook an egg freshly. Eggs that you’ll eat at a restaurant have reportedly been pre-made, meaning that they get microwaved before being left under a heat lamp until somebody orders them.
