While we’ve spoken about fast-food restaurants skimping on quality when it comes to secondary items, it turns out that even popular and primary items might not be getting the 5-star treatment. For instance, black beans are a staple in any fast food chain that sells Mexican food or their take on the cuisine.
Sadly, they are apparently far from fresh as you might expect them to be. Instead, beans are supposedly often cooked and stored in bulk before being quickly reheated for meals. Now, that’s not what most people would call authentic.
