We love breadsticks. A lot. To the point that we’ve many a time considered just ordering a meal’s worth of breadsticks rather than bothering with ‘real food’. However, we’ve slowed our roll on breadsticks considerably since finding out how they’re prepared at many restaurants.
Normally, breadsticks are made with less than fresh bread – which we can forgive a little given their appeal is half based in the crunch. Sadly, the butter that breadsticks are sometimes brushed might have been left out or hours at a time – which is distinctly unappealing.
