The assistant principal of the school explained that they have standards, and that the dress code they put into place was to support a “professional business environment.”
She explained that “extreme hair styles” would normally not be accepted in those types of professional places, and therefore they shouldn’t be accepted in school as well. “Eva’s purple hair falls short of those expectations.” she said. She also said that the academy “reserves the right” to make these decisions.
